I am a materials scientist and engineer, interdisciplinary educator, and award-winning science communicator, currently Associate Professor of Nanomaterials and Interdisciplinary STEM Education at the University of Birmingham.

I see my academic role as a creative one, actively seeking to de-silo knowledge for the benefit of myself, my students, my colleagues, and wider public audiences.
